Why we should all cut the Facebook cord — or should we?

In this piece, I examine the growing discontent with Facebook, from its manipulation of user data to its corrosive effects on social life. While some advocate cutting ties altogether, I argue that leaving Facebook does not address the structural issues of surveillance capitalism and corporate control of communication. Instead, I call for collective solutions and systemic change to reclaim digital space for democratic and human-centered purposes.
